Adding students to a class

 

To know how to set up a new class, please read this article.
 

Students can be added in a class from any of the following ways:  
 
  1. Using email address of students  
     
  2. Using preferred usernames  
     
  3. Using the class code  
     
1. Using email address of students
1-1. Go to the class list

Click on the "Classes" icon at the top bar to go to your class list.


1-2. Click on the class in which students should be added

1-3. Click on "+ Add Students". Then select "Add new students by email"


1-4. Check if your school or university blocks emails sent to students


1-5. Add students

Add email address of students one per line in the box. Click on 'Add Students' button when done.
If your school or university allows email from outside, the students will receive an email with the information about how to start using Theta Music Trainer.


1-6. Start working with students

Students added are listed in the class.

 

2. Using preferred usernames
2-1. Go to the class list

Click on the "Classes" icon at the top bar to go to your class list.


2-2. Click on the class in which students should be added


2-3. Click on "+ Add Students". Then select "Add new students by username"

2-4. Add students

Add username you want for students one per line in the box. Click on 'Add Students' button when done.


2-5. Start working with students

Students added are listed in the class.

 

3. Using the class code
3-1. Go to the class list

Click on the "Classes" icon at the top bar to go to your class list.


3-2. Click on the class in which students should be added

3-3. Click on "+ Add Students". Then select "Use a class code"

Enter class name and select class type in the popup which appears. Click "Create Class" button when done.

 


3-4. Copy the link displayed in the box and ask your students to use it to join the class

If your students do not have accounts on Theta Music Trainer, it will be created for them before they join the class.
